Origin Story

RossTurnerSGCI Ross Turner’s parents found him while exploring a small cave in the Appalachian Mountain Range. He was a fully bearded, feral child wearing nothing but a cape. After noticing his cave paintings, which some have said put the Sistine Chapel to shame, they realized this child was destined for greatness and lured him into their station wagon with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Ross grew up quickly on a steady diet of medium rare steaks and Dr Pepper. At the ripe old age of 12, he rode his trusty Blue Heeler, Dixie, into the city where he fought crime as a masked vigilante. After his secret identity was revealed while trying to earn a driver’s license, Ross decided to move on. He spent the next several years captaining a pirate ship, sailing up and down the east coast. After acquiring a large sum of gold doubloons, Ross decided to pursue a career in art, since money was no longer an issue.

Ross earned his BFA with an emphasis in Printmaking from the University of Mississippi in 2010 and is currently pursuing his MFA from Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi in a never-ending battle for truth, justice and the American way.

His work chronicles his adventures in all their glory.
